Can you be a witch without knowing you are?

A witch? Well, there is a religion called wiccan. You could have siblings or roots who were witches, but you aren't a witch unless you become one. If you want to become one you need to research on the wiccan law and stuff.

Just to clear a little something up here.

NOT all people who call or consider themselves witches follow the spiritual path of Wicca, and not all practitioner of Wicca call or consider themselves witches.

Wicca is one of many (but a long way from the only) spiritual paths that encompass the practice of the Craft.

Witches come from many different spiritual paths.

Most, but not all of them practice some form of magic. Magic being the manipulation of naturally occurring powers by the hand and will of an ethical practitioner, most, but not all whom follow some form of spiritual path.

In my experience, there have been many people who have come to our Circle at various stages in their lives, amazed that they have had the ethical, spiritual, and philosophical earmarks of one of the many forms of Paganism. Basically, the have been living a Pagan or Witch's lifestyle.

Much as with any other spiritual path, once you recognise that Paganism is something you find spiritually familiar or desirable, then you can start your study, and/or search for your place within the Craft.
