Does hemp have the same appearance as marihuana?

Hemp and marijuana are both Cannabis sativa plants, so visually they can appear very similar, especially to the untrained eye. However, hemp plants tend to be taller and skinnier with narrower leaves, while marijuana plants are often shorter, bushier, and have denser, more resinous buds. Only lab testing can definitively distinguish them by THC content.
