Is living in the countryside better than living in the city?

That's largely a matter of opinion. Many people, myself included, prefer living in the country. For those of us who farm, the close proximity to our work is very beneficial. The environment is usually more peaceful, quiet, and in most parts of the country, cleaner. It's not perfect, though, since we sometimes have to travel significant distances for farm supplies, medical care, clothing, and even food. In some cases, country people even have to live outside fire protection districts.

Everyone faced with this decision has to weigh the advantages and disadvantages for themselves.
