Follow the top hose of the radiator back to the engine. You will see where the thermostat housing bolts to the engine block. You will need to drain some coolant out of the radiator before removal so you do not get any on the ground. The easiest way i know of requires a 6 inch extension and a universal adapter with your socket to remove the two bolts. Once you have these out firmly grasp the housing and give it a wiggle and it should come free. Then pull out the old thermostat, which has a rubber ring around it as the gasket, and replace with the new one. The new thermostat comes with a gasket already on it so you do not need to buy a gasket seperately. Then line the housing back up, put the bolts back in and top off your fluid.
