What do you throw out when you need it but bring it in when you don't?

The answer to this riddle is an umbrella. You typically bring an umbrella with you when the weather is clear and you don't expect rain, but when it starts to rain, you open it up and use it. When the rain stops, you fold it up and put it away again.
