What is the difference between ct and kt in jewelry?

"KT" represents Karat a measure of the content of pure gold in jewelry i.e. 10kt = 41% pure gold, 14kt = 58% pure gold. "CT" represents the diamond weight i.e.. .01 = 1/100 of a carat while 1.0 = 1 carat
