The last king of France was King Louis-Philippe I, who reigned from 1830 to 1848. He was known as the "Citizen King" and came to power after the July Revolution, which deposed Charles X. Louis-Philippe's reign ended with the February Revolution of 1848, leading to the establishment of the Second French Republic. After his abdication, he went into exile in England.
