Does a VW bug will float?

When the VW bug first came from the factory, yes it would float. It wouldn't float forever though. Typically a 3-7 minutes depending on how well the seals held up. I would not recommend trying this with an old VW today because with most Bugs, the pans are rusted out and no longer "water worthy"
