What ever happened to the lady who claimed that she was Anastasia?

There were several. all are deceased, would be pushing ll0 years or darn near it as Anastasia was born in l90l. Two of the ladies you speak of are Eugenie Smith ( a.k.a. Eugenie Onegin) of Chicago, and the better known and more probable Anna Anderson. a Friend of my Father"s ( the friend was a Russian psychiatrist) admitted- at least half the Women, older ones in Soviet Mental hospitals have an (Anastasia complex) it is a poplular delusion there! This psychosis could also explain a morbid fear of cops and law-enforcement types- as the real Anastasia certainly had! in the Amy Irving mini-series she beat up a police photographer merely taking an ID photo for a hospital, no for the Police. ( he was Berlin PD- this is before the SS got up steam.) Anna Anderson died in l985, Eugenie more recently.
