IMEIs can not be geographically tracked by an end user. If your mobile device is stolen and you wish to block it you can provide your IMEI (device serial number) to your local operator who will then, if they have the capability, block the device from being used with any SIM card.
The operator may then, in turn, share your IMEI with other local, national, and possibly international operators to ensure that the device cannot be used on other networks -- this eliminates the resale value of the phone assuming the IMEI is not altered.
Websites, other than your local Operator's, that claim to allow you to track IMEIs do not and can not perform this function.
