What is the difference between religion and denominaton?

Generally speaking, the term religion refers to the entire body of those professing a particular faith. (Such as Baptist, Muslim, etc) Whereas, they term denomonation generally refers to the sects within a religion, (Such as Southern Baptist, Calvary Baptist, Sunni Muslim, Shiite Muslim, etc)
