Does Anne Frank Date Peter

Within the constrained circumstances of the Annex, Anne and Peter did "date" for about 2 1/2 to 3 months in early 1944 - usually meeting in the attic, or occasionally Peter's room to talk. They became an "item" to the extent that it seriously worried Mr. Frank, but almost as quickly, Anne realized that Peter was somewhat emotionally weak, and tended to lean to much on her for emotional support. They remained friends, but Anne "cooled" the relationship from that time on.
