The landing of apolo 11

Apollo 11, the first manned mission to land on the Moon, successfully touched down on July 20, 1969. Astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin piloted the Lunar Module, named Eagle, to the Sea of Tranquility, while Michael Collins remained in orbit aboard the Command Module, Columbia. Armstrong became the first human to set foot on the lunar surface, famously declaring, "That's one small step for [a] man, one giant leap for mankind."
