What are animals that kill and eat other animals called?

They are called "predators."

They may be carnivores (eating meat) or omnivores (eating both plants and animals). The term carnivores includes scavengers, who do not kill their own prey but consume remnants from the prey of other animals. Some animals that are scavengers (coyotes, crows, vultures) are also predators or can become predatory.
