How would you write: my country is Scotland in French?
Mon pays est l'Écosse or L'Écosse est mon pays (this form sounds more patriotic)
My: Mon
Country: pays
is: est
Scotland: Ecosse
* [l']: is used to replase the "la" ("the" in feminine form), because Scotland is feminine in French. So we don't say: Mon pays est la Écosse (because it doesn't "sound armonious").
