How did they use to peirce ears in the 1950s?

Well I am surprised someone asked something different for a change. I will have to point you to my website which I will post below. On that page you will see a "Doctor's Issue", ear piercing instrument from about that time period. It did the piercing by hand pressure using surgical stainless steel piercing studs which were left in the piercings for three days, then removed and replaced with sleeper rings. These were only available to doctors because they were considered a surgical instrument.
