When I mean something has "more protein", I mean a larger percentage of calories in the food are from protein.
For each 100-calorie serving, raw eggs provide 8.79 grams of protein. By comparison, a 100-calorie serving of spinach contains 12.44 grams; asparagus contains 11 grams; lettuce contains 9.11 grams; and kale contains 8.77 grams. So spinach, asparagus, and lettuce provide more protein per calorie than eggs, and kale is about the same.
More protein than an egg? Egg whites for one, they're just about all protein. Lean turkey, some kinds of fish and chicken breast can have more. Protein powders are obviously also high in protein.
