Do you have to pay taxes on a car if you are a Cherokee Indian?

Since the Cherokee Nation is a BIA recognized tribe (a political subdivision of the United States, like any other state) then Yes you must pay taxes on your car / truck.

The only difference is to who you pay those taxes.
