Are the astro a40s best headset made?

Absolutely not. Astros are WAY overhyped. They PAY MLG for that placement. The sound isn't very good, the reliability is poor and they are tremendously overpriced.

Turtle Beach makes the best headsets. They've got over 35 years of audio experience and it's ALL they do. If you want an awesome 7.1 wired headset, get their DPX21 and if you want to go wireless, pick up their X41.

TB uses technology that all the other manufacturer's dream of, like mic monitoring, lossless wireless audio, chat boost.

Definitely go with them over Astro or another brand.
