What is the chemical reaction between an eggshell and hydrochloric acid?

The calcium from the eggshells combines with the chlorine in the acid and the hydrogen is released as a gas. HCl + Ca = CaCl + H ( I used an equal sign because there is no arrow pointing to the right on my keyboard ).
