Why do you get an activation error in fan fiction?

It is just the site being stupid usually. Last week it was more noticeable because of the updates. Usually it is fixed within a few days, but don't bother trying to update if there is a Type 1 or Type 2 error. If you do most likely the review ability will be down and no one can review your story. When that happens just wait it out.
