Why does Alice like Jasper if they are brother and sister?

Alice and Jasper are adopted vampires, they aren't really brother and sister. Also, even though it may seem weird, because they are pretty much considered 'family', they aren't really true blood family- they wouldn't be anyway, because they have no blood in their bodies. But, you know what I mean.
