Is the killer of Emmett till still alive?

One of them are alive and one of them are deadbecause the one that is dead got murder and i know this is mean but i think that is funneh cause he should of got killed for killing some 14 year old that basecally didn't even do anything and the one that is alive OS getting ready to die cause he has lung cancer
