Was James Madison from Virginia

Montpelier was his estate, near Orange, Virginia ,was his adult home . It now has a post office : Montpelier Station, VA 2295. The estate was sold after he died and the house was greatly changed. However, efforts are being made to restore it and tours are available for a fee. He was born and grew up at Belle Grove Plantation near Port Conway, Virginia.
