What was the o2 arena originally called?

The O2 Arena was originally called the Millennium Dome. It was constructed to house the Millennium Experience, a exhibition celebrating the turn of the millennium, and opened in January 2000. In 2005, it was rebranded as the O2 Arena following a naming rights agreement with the telecommunications company O2.
