How does prayer help us?

It gives us the oppertunity to talk directly to God and tell him how we are feeling. Prayer allows us to block everything else out and just focus on God. During prayer, God can also speak to us. For a lot of the time it is difficult to hear Him but if we are patient God will talk to us.
