What is the use of a cordless USB Skype phone?

Cordless phones are the same as home phones but not connected via cord, but are linked to a base which is connected to the phone grid. Unlike cell phones, they don't run off of cellular networks, which is a series of towers and satellites to bounce the signal back and forth. Cordless phones are the same as regular cord phones but more practicle.
