The oil drain plug is on the bottom of the sump (oil pan) where you'd expect it to be but it does take a little searching. There's a tendency to focus on the bottom of the transmission instead of the bottom of the engine.
As you crawl under the car look roughly a foot to the right (facing forward) of center. The drain plug faces the rear of the car and requires a 14mm socket or wrench to remove.
After being forced to hunt for mine the first time I changed oil I cleaned it thoroughly while the oil drained and spray painted it yellow. Now I can always find it easily, even when it's fallen into the oil drain pan <g>
