  • Bullying at work is generally verbal comments that mentally damage the worker and the worker may become afraid of losing their job; feel intimidated; degraded and remain silent often causing them not to produce the good quality of work they are generally capable of. Constant bullying at work can make the victim feel isolated and in some cases the victim may be so depressed they may take more time off work because they are actually going through physical symptoms of depression; upset stomach's; aches and pains. Bullying is the workplace is often described as 'assertion of power through aggression.' Bullying at work is very common and needs to be rectified by reporting it to management and if they so choose not to do anything about it then the victim can report it or even sue a company for allowing the harassment.
