Why some countries Can not feed themselves because of fair trade?

Some countries struggle to feed themselves due to fair trade practices that can prioritize export crops over local food production. When farmers focus on cash crops for international markets, they may neglect subsistence farming, which is essential for local food security. Additionally, fair trade often involves higher production costs that can make local food less competitive against imported goods, further exacerbating food scarcity.
