How do I convert word to PDF?

PDF Creator is a popular program to use. You can download it for free I have worked for several companies that use it, and it seems to work very well.

You can also try PrimoPDF, a freeware. Once this is installed in your computer, you can use it to convert any document under an application with a Print Option. For example, you can open your .doc file in MS Word, press "print" and then choose primopdf as your printer. you can also use it for images and other stuff.
