Actually it usually depend on what type of exercises and what is your diet intake if u r doing heavy exercise and taking a lots of calories then u will definitely get bulk on your body it generally happens with carbohydrate and fat diet
On the other hand if you r taking a light weight and a lot of reps and taking protein rich diet then definitely u r going to loose some weight
And remember one thing while exercising proper inhailing and exhailing of air and taking proper rest
