Why did sir syed want to achieve for the Muslim community?

Sir Syed Ahmad Khan wanted to uplift the Muslim community in India by promoting modern education and scientific thinking among Muslims. He believed that education was the key to progress and wanted to enable Muslims to compete with the British in various fields. He also aimed to bridge the gap between Muslims and the British colonial rulers.
