How does tom get caught for skipping school and going to the swimming hole?

Tom gets caught because his teacher, Miss Watson, sends a note about his absence to his aunt, Polly. When Tom comes back home, Aunt Polly questions him about his absence and his wet hair from swimming at the swimming hole, leading to his inevitable confession.
