How do you add new person to Facebook?

First, you search in the person you want to add name in the search box, then it goes to their profile and next to their name click on add friend Then when the person next comes on facebook it will show them your friend request, and they either confirm it or ignore it.

Another way is if someone adds you, then on top of facebook it will have a little red box with a number in it, click that and your friend request will pop up, once again you can either ignore it or confirm it. I hope this helps if you are new to facebook!
