Female promiscuityOne might be an insecure attachment to her father. Psychological reasons/Female PromiscuiLack of attention by the male parent (by way of divorce, death, neglect, or just plain old indifference). It is really nice if there are other upstanding males who assume this responsibility, but none the less, it is not YOUR father. If the father departed at an especially young age (prior to age 5) the young mature lady will look for a male "suitor" for her Electra complex exercise. The problem is that these other males actually will give in and engage the young lady in the seduction game (unlike the father who hopefully won't fall prey to her budding feminine wiles). I speak from experience. My natural father and mother divorced when I was 2 yrs old. My mother remarried a wonderful man when I was 10 yrs old, and even though they are now divorced as well he is a huge part of my life.
It is almost as if we set out to try and conquer the thing that hurts us the most: men we love who leave. Through promiscuity in some situations it is about regaining power. Make them hurt before they get a chance to hurt us by walking away (like Dad did). When we finally find a guy who doesn't appear to be a "runner" we will set about doing any and everything to test his allegance (consciously and subconsciously). We want to be positive he won't repeat the offense. I have been with my boyfriend for 11 years. He has proposed twice. I said not now both times. Go figure. Hope this answer helped, even though it is not very scientific.
