Who assassinated Archduke Ferdinand and why?

A Bosnian man named Gavrilo Princip shot him. At the time, Bosnia was part of the Austro-Hungarian empire, but a lot of Bosnians wanted their own independent country. The Archduke was the heir to the imperial throne, so killing him was intended to make a statement that Bosnia wanted Austria out.
