Will Graystripe really become leader after Firestar?

It is rumored that Graystripe will become leader after Firestar dies in Omen of the Stars #3 or #4. I know that Brambleclaw will not become leader but, maybe he'll stay deputy.

He does not, because he is not deputy. He was formerly deputy until he was captured by Twolegs and was away from the forest for so long that he was deemed unfit to be deputy because he was not aware of current events.
