Why do men shut you out?

Most men do not know how to verbally express themselves as well as they don't ever want to be attacked or told there may be something about them that needs some altering. It is always easier for them to shut down in hopes everything will just go away and the woman will fix it for them without anything being "their fault". Communication is very important and a healthy relationship is hard to be without it - it is important not to give up on him but give him tips on how to communicate with you. Don't expect instant changes but be patient if he is willing.
