What is a consensual relationship?

A consensual relationship is when both people consent to being in it. For this to happen they must both be over the age of consent, which is the age in your state when it is legal to have sex.

A child (that is, someone under-age) can not consent to sex. It is always illegal and the punishments are very strict.
