To unflood a fuel-injected motor, first, ensure the ignition is off. Then, fully depress the accelerator pedal to cut off fuel delivery and crank the engine for several seconds to clear excess fuel from the combustion chamber. Repeat this process a few times if necessary, allowing a minute or two between attempts to prevent overheating the starter. Once the engine shows signs of starting, gradually release the accelerator and attempt to start normally.
