For 4-stroke, normally half a quart. Read the dipstick. Don't overfill or let it be in the add area

For 2-stroke, It could be any kind of oil mixture ratio. Better safe than sorry, look up your kind of lawnmower or read the manual and check for oil to gas mixing ratio.
