Who were Captian Marvel's parents?

As this question is categorized under Marvel, I'll assume this is asking about Carol Danvers as Captain Marvel, and not the DC version of Captain Marvel (Shazaam). Carol Danver's parents weren't anything special. Other than her dad being pretty sexist and not wanting to pay for her college even though she was first in her class in high school.
