- To have a mental map of the community and larger geographical areas, as well as the world, so you understand where places and events are
- To understand how human processes and physical systems have arranged and possibly changed the earth's surface.
- Tp understand how society is arranged specially.
- To understand the connectivity of people and places.
- To make sensible judgements about matters that involve relationships between the physical environment and society.
- To appreciate the Earth and make wise decisions about how resources should be used.
- To understand global interdependence.
