What were the unintended consequences of Sweden's high taxes and generous government benefits?

One important problem related to Sweden's high taxes was that popular sports stars, retained their Swedish "identity" however, moved out of Sweden to live in lower tax nations such as Monaco. And, the USA as well. Despite Sweden's generous benefits, the nation remains economically strong, however, it could have easily been an economic power in Europe if the government lowed its taxes.
