Milton Wright was a bishop in the Church of the United Brethren in Christ and an educator. He was also a farmer and a writer, known for his involvement in the church and his promotion of education. Additionally, he was the father of the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, who are credited with inventing and building the first successful powered airplane. Milton's support and encouragement were significant influences in his sons' pursuits of aviation.
