What is the appropriate hand washing procedure?

1) Firstly wet your hands. This stops the detergent running don the sink, and dilutes the detergent a little to stop your hands becoming dry.

2) Apply Soap (not too much)

3) Rub your hands Palm to Palm

4) Rub the back of each hand with the palm of the other hand with your fingers interlaced.

5) Rub your hands Palm to Palm again this time with your fingers interlaced.

6) Rub the backs of your fingers on the opposite palm with your fingers interlaced

7) Rub each thumb clasped in the opposite hand and use a rotating motion.

8) Rub the tips of your fingers on the opposite Palm

9) Rub each wrist in a rotation motion

10) Rinse your hands well under warm running water

11) Dry thoroughly with a clean towel.
