In many countries gay men are banned from donating blood because it's assumed they will lie when asked about sexual history. Straight men aren't even asked.
In the United states, a gay man must state he is celibate for at least one year prior to donating. Even if he is faithfully married. A straight man who has regular unprotected sex, will not be banned.
