How do we know that we live in a spiral galaxy?

Well, hun, turn your eyes to the night sky because spiral galaxies like ours have distinctive spiral arms filled with gas, dust, and stars. We know we live in one because our good ol' Milky Way is dotted with those lovely spiral arms that make us unique like a diva on the cosmic stage. So, there you have it, we call this place home because of our fabulous spiral design!
