What kind of benefits do models receive?

Most models enjoy getting free products and clothes from the companies they shoot for as well as other types of freebies or invites to exclusive events. However, in terms of health benefits, since models work as independent contractors, that means their agency is not obligated to provide them with health or dental so the model has to get this for themselves at their own cost.
Because models are independent contractors they do not receive any health or dental benefits. The perks that come with modeling, however, include getting paid a decent amount of money per gig, getting free clothes and merchandise, getting to travel and achieving a certain amount of success.
